Help Hotline

Help Hotline Crisis Center is a non-profit, private corporation serving Mahoning, Columbiana, and portions of Trumbull Counties.  Help Hotline provides 24 hour, 7 days a week comprehensive crisis intervention and community resources.

Help Hotline is the central clearing house for community human resource information, an information and referral service for area residents and is also the entry point for Emergency Assistance Services and provides after-hours emergency relays to professional counselors and case managers in a network of numerous human services agencies.

A "211" help line is also available to Columbiana County residents.  2-1-1 is an easy to remember telephone number that connects people with important community services and volunteer opportunities.  It provides callers with information about and referrals to human services for everyday needs and in times of crisis.  The 2-1-1 line is meant to be used by the public for non-emergency calls, as an alternative to using 9-1-1, which is often used inappropriately.  Although not intended for emergency situations, Help Hotline answers all of the calls and would be able to deal with crisis situations.

Dialing 211 connects people to important community services such as:

  • Basic Needs:  Food, Clothing, Shelter
  • Physciatric and Mental Health Services
  • Employment Support Services
  • Support for Older Americans
  • Support for Persons with Disabilities
  • Volunteer Opportunities
