Stop the Judgment - Start the Healing

Tri-County Anti Stigma Campaign

"Stop the Judgment - Start the Healing" was launched in September 2011.  This campaign is being conducted in conjunction with the Trumbull and Mahoning County Boards.  Compass (formerly the Burdman Group), a not for profit mental health provider in Youngstown, is contributing time from its public relations staff.  The campaign features television ads as well as live interviews of people in recovery on WKBN's morning news programs.  Kathie Chaffee was interviewed along with April Caraway and Ron Marian, Directors of the Trumbull and Mahoning Boards on the WKBN morning News show.  Maureen Boals, the Board Recovery Assistant, was featured in the first "person in recovery" interview.  Board member Thelma Rist was the second Columbiana County recovery leader to be interviewed.  All interviews are archived on the WKBN website.  The web address is www.wkbn.com; click on “First News This Morning,” then select “Mental Health” to view the interviews.
