Standing Committees

Executive Committee:  Comprised of Board Chair, Vice Chair, Secretary, and Treasurer.  The duties of the Executive Committee are as follows:

  • Establish, monitor, and evaluate the annual performance of the Executive Director. 
  •  Make salary recommendations for the Executive Director.
  • Annually review Board personnel policies and make recommendations to the full Board.
  • Conduct biennial review of staff positions and salary ranges.
  • Serve as grievance review board for staff.
  • Review Board administrative agreements as needed and make recommendations to the full Board.
  • Other actions as the Board (or Chair) may designate.
Capital Planning and Facilities:  Assists in the development of the Board's overall Capital Plan and recommends capital planning priorities to the full Board.

Community Relations:  Responsible for developing and recommending strategies for the Board to provide public information activities.

Drug and Alcohol Planning:  Reviews the ODADAS Community Plan, the Board's annual budget for alcohol and drug addiction services, and recommends guidelines for alcohol and drug addiction programs.  Eight members are mandated and should consist of four ODADAS-appointed Board members, two Board members selected by the Board, and two residents of the service district who are not Board members.  One should be an individual who has received or is currently receiving services for alcohol or drug addiction.  The other should be a parent or other relative of such a person.

Mental Health Planning:  Responsible for reviewing overall planning activities and evaluation of mental health services.

Operations:  Oversees the financial operations of the Board, reviews areas of financial management, cash flow, and long-range financial planning.  The Board Treasurer serves as Chair of this committee.
